Well, there’s this scene where he’s sitting in this giant dinosaur play place with this girl Simone. She’s telling him how she wants to go to Paris, but…and then gives him all the reasons why she can’t.

He says to her, “everyone I know has a big butt.””

It’s supposed to be funny and I laugh about it whenever I think about it.

However! It really applies to my life and my self esteem.

So I’m going to write something to men who have girls and how they should watch what they say to their daughters because it will become their inner dialogue their whole life.

My “but” is this.

People say to me, “omg you’re so strong you’ve accomplished so much.”

Me: “yeah, but…” and then go on to explain why what they’re saying is wrong and I’m really just a piece of shit

Every day my father used to say to me, “what the fuck is wrong with you?” Or “listen here you god damned son of a bitch.” And that is what is constantly playing in my head, daily, hourly, and by the minute.
