I was at work doing my wellness evaluation…
They took my blood to test my glucose level, cholesterol, etc. When the test was finished processing, the nurse had me come over to the side with her and proceeded to ask me over and over if I’m feeling all right, if I needed to sit down and if I planned on eating anytime soon. I thought to myself, “I felt fine until you made me feel like I was about to die.” I felt completely fine. Another nurse came over with crackers and orange juice and instructed me to sit down and eat and drink the snacks she provided for me. They then decided to finally tell me what was going on, all my blood work was well within the optimum levels. My cholesterol was actually on the low side but what really concerned them and what caused all this “special” treatment was my blood sugar levels. Apparently my glucose level was 50, optimum would be above 70 and below 110. They told me that they couldn’t believe that I was feeling ok and they didn’t feel comfortable with me leaving until my glucose level rose to within normal limits.
